AS I SAID BEFORE I ORDERED MY OGHAM STICKS AND AM PATIENTLY AWAITING THEIR ARRIVAL (not checking mail daily and squirming in anticipation at all lolol) AND AS A VERIFICATION THAT I'M SUPPOSED TO USE THEM AND CAN USE THEM WE DID OTHER FORMS OF DIVINATION AT LAST NIGHTS GROUP. I REALLY WASNT "GETTING" IT AND I SAW HILLS ONCE I SAID THAT I BEGAN TO SEE OTHER THINGS. IT'S AMAZING WHAT YOU CAN DO WHEN YOUR FEARS AND BLOCKAGES GET OUT OF YOUR WAY. I FELT QUITE A BIT OF INFO AND RELAYED IT (not sharing specifics cause it was not my info!) HOPEFULLY I WAS ON TARGET AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT TIME WILL TELL. I CAN SAY SOME THINGS I TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD IMMEDIATELY AND SOME I WAS CLUELESS ABOUT. THE REAING OF CANDLE WAX AND TEA LEAVES I GOT NOTHING, THE OUIJI BOARD DIDNT CONNECT FOR ME,(but as an aside i'll share a quick story my friend bobby passed away and his mom was distraught i had a dream he was in a long white hallway following his nephew mark who was five and he told me he waswatching over him *mark is a freaky bobby look-a-like doesnt resemble his dad at all* anywho the next moring i called to tell her and when i did she dropped the phone and made a "noise" her other son picked up the phone and said what the hell did you do to ma i told him and at the same time i was dreaming the family were using a ouiji board and talking to bobby who said he was with mark, gotta love spiritual confirmation. she wanted to believe but had doubts my dream gave her peace, thank you spirit for allowing me to help as always)...............THE EGG WAS FASCINATING I SO TOTALLY CONNECTED WITH THIS FORM OF DIVINATION I'M GONNA USE IT AGAIN. MIGHT BE COOL FOR A PSYCHIC BRUNCH DO A READING AND THEN HAVE BREAKFAST INGESTING WHAT SHALL COME TO PASS SOUNDS LIKE A COOL WAY TO HONOR THE INFO TO ME! ............THE INK IN WATER WAS LIKE LIQUID SMOKE IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND MORPHED FROM ONE BIT OF INFO TO THE NEXT DEFINATELY SOMETHING I CONNECTED WITH IT WAS LIKE SWIMMING IN SPIRIT...............TH SMOKE FROM FRANKENCENSE WAS AMAZING I CAN TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHY IT'S BEEN A TOOL OF SEERS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS IT TRULY DOES OPEN THE BRIDGE BETWEEN THE TWO WORLDS. ........
MY READING WAS SPINNING, BASICALLY YOU MAKE A LARGE CIRCLE OF LETTERS WITH AN OUTER RING OF NUMBERS AND A YES, NO, MAYBE MIXED IN. I CONCENTRATE ON WHAT I WANT TO KNOW (i simply asked spirit to show me what i needed toknow) THE PSYCHIC ENTERS THE CIRCLE AND SPINS UNTIL THEY GET DIZZY AND FALL DAWN YOU WRITE THE LETTER/NUMBER THEIR HAND LANDS ON. THIS ONE I SHALL SHARE IN MORE DETAIL AS IT IS MY INFO AND SOME OF Y'ALL MAY HAVE INSIGHT FOR ME...............she got a G , MAYBE, on her thrid spin she fell backwards her hand landed on E her butt landed on H and I , then she got P,N,X,6,K, and L. i was joking and said mayhaps the H and I were gonna come at me from behind! lol everyone was seeing an 8 which was when my mama died and i felt her last night several times. the rest of the reading is still shrouded in mysetry for me but i KNOW all will be revealed in time when i am ready. the absolutely wonderful thing was after the meeting i was sitting on a bench next to the circle to put my shoes on when one of her dogs i'd been petting grabbed one of it's toys and was shaking it like CRAZY lol well it ran into the circle and the toy threw 3 of the cards under my left foot...........the H, I, and K. 3 of the cards from my reading and before you say well they were together in the circle how did she miss j??? things to make you go hmmmmmm indeed! THEN WE DID TAROT READINGS FOR EACH OTHER AND EVERYONE COULD SHARE WHAT THEY SAW . I FELT CONFIDENT AND SECURE IN MY INSIGHT AND INFO SHARED...........I ASKED IF I WOULD BE SELF-EMPLOYEED WITHIN A YEAR AND IT WAS A RESOUNDING YES. THIS HAS BEEN A DREAM OF MINE FOR DECADES BUT I HONESTLY SIMPLY HAVE NEVER HAD THE COURAGE , SAME REASON I DIDNT WAIT TABLES THOUGH EVERYONE SAYS I'DBE AMAZING. I HAVE "NEEDED" THE SECURITY OF A WEEK TO WEEK SET DOLLAR AMOUNT AND DIDNT TRUST MYSELF ENOUGH TO RIDE THAT WIND AND WAVE , THAT'S NOT THE CASE ANYMORE. OH I GOTTA WORK OUT THE DETAILS BUT I'M GONNA TRUST SPIRIT AND TAKE A LEAP OF FAITH. I KNOW I'M GONNA BE SCARED BUT I SHOULD KNOW I'M GONNA BE FINE. THE FOOL CARD HAS ALWAYS REPRESENTED ME IN THE TAROT AND I AM BLESSED BY SPIRIT AND PROTECTED BY MY ANCESTORS. SHE ALSO CAME UP WITH A RELATIONSHIP AND REBECCA DREW THW MARRAIGE ANGEL CARD.............THAT SCARES ME FAR MORE THAN ANY CAREER PATH. I HAVE NOT HAD GOOD LUCK NOR LASTING SUCCESS AT BEING WITH SOMEONE. AND I WAS TOLD DECADES AGO THAT MY PATH IN THIS LIFE WAS A SOLITARY ONE. THAT'S WHY MY PARENTS LEFT ME YOUNG SO I COULD BECOME WHO I NEEDED TO BE. AS A FAMILY WE WERE SO CONNECTED I WOULD NEVER HAVE STRETCHED MY WINGS AND LEFT THE NEST. LOLOL I'M SURE Y'ALL ALL KNOW A 40-SOMETHING GAY MAN WHO STILL LIVES WITH HIS MUCH ADORED MAMA!
THESE PEOPLE WERE BROUGHT TO MY PATH AND ME TO THEIRS FOR A REASON. IT FELT LIKE GOING HOME. I CAN'T WAIT TO "SEE" WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR US ALL!

the fool is me. he represents me in the tarot. i ALWAYS wind up better off no matter the tragedy and spirit always provides boom boom boom and i get where i need to be i dream of willows and wind up with a willow wand so atuned to me it makes my hair stand on end!

i ask for help in finding a book on willow and get lead to ogham instead, and the 1st link is to an etsy shop who handmakes them traditionlly in britain so those are ordered

then the tarot group i was invited to at the pagan festival is doing other forms of divination at my very 1st meeting tomorrow. PERFECTION! spirit is really showing me the path right now, or i've FINALLY opened my eyes and can see, either way it's spectacular!
so now i'm feelin the need for a staff and i could order one of those mass market soul-less ones but i'm throwing it out there that i need one, made of willow of course and i'm certain spirit will provide one!

finding your totem

A totem is an object representing an animal or plant that serves as an emblem of a group of people, such as a family, clan, group, lineage, or tribe, reminding them of their ancestry (or mythic past).^[1]
Totems support larger groups than the individual person. In kinship and descent, if the apical ancestor of a clan is nonhuman, it is called a totem. Normally this belief is accompanied by a totemic myth.
Although the term is of Ojibwe origin in North America, totemistic beliefs are not limited to Native Americans. Similar totem-like beliefs have been historically present in societies throughout much of the world, including Africa, Arabia, Asia, Australia, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and the Arctic polar region.
In modern times, some single individuals, not otherwise involved in the practice of a tribal religion, have chosen to adopt a personal spirit animal helper, which has special meaning to them, and may refer to this as a totem. This non-traditional usage of the term is prevalent in the New Age movement
from my experience the buffalo aka the bison is my life totem. he has always came to me in dreams and has been an obsession as far back as i can remember. when i was a toddler he came to me , of course i grew up on a cattle farm so everyone assumed i was talking about a bull. lol
he is with me still and has taught me many things over the years, endurance, how to gather the herd around me when protection is needed etc etc. i just got saw a pair of beautiful earrings with bison at a powwow i attended sunday, they were far more than i could afford so i walked away. half an hour later i was given money by a dear friend who said they wanted me to have something to remember the day by so i got my earrings.

then my roomie who was driving took a different route home and we passed by the only bison farm in de and i got to see a herd, awesome confirmation that he's with me still!

you may also have totems that come to you for long or brief periods of time. has an animal shown up unexpectedly? i was talking to a friend who does wildlife rehab on the phone a few weeks back and there was a horrible racket goin on it was a baby crow. i didnt think anything about it until i was leaving work the next morning and i heard the same noise. there was a crow sitting on the light above my car cawing at me, happened every day for a week. obviously i'm supposed to be working with and learning from crow medicine.

i also have specific totems for healing. mine is bear, he gives me medicine with which to help others. i did not know i had bear medicine until i was doin reiki one night on a friends nephew who had swallowed his grandmas pills and was in intensive care unconcious. they had no clue if or when he was going to wake up, being only 3 the outlook was grimm. i had lain down to send long distance healing and apparently the rythm of the fan i was using put me in a shamanic trance. the next thing i knew i was in the hospitl room and there was an enormous bear standing on it's hind legs ROARING. i was not afraid and i began to chant and felt the bears energy enveloping the child who after a few minutes woke up. i was immediately transported back to my home where i came immediately out of the trance. i thought wow that was amazing, i'll have to tell chris and looked at the clock it was in the wee hours so i went to bed. in the morning when i got up there was a message that he had woke up in the middle of the night sat bolt upright in bed and started talking to the nurse. i called chris and asked her what time he woke up, it was exactly the same time i had seen after my journey. it is a blessing and honor for spirit to use me as a vessel!

if you havent used a totem i would reccomend ted andrews animal speak as a starting point. i got my copy around 1991, it was the 1st book i ever bought that was even remotely metaphysical. i was literally driving down the road passing a store when i felt a "pull" that had never happened so i went in and the 1st thing i saw was that book, so i bought it on impulse and have used it ever since. i also had the pleasure/priviledge to attend one of ted's workshops before he passed and it was wonderful. we did a meditation to find a spirit bird and i wasnt having any luck a completely barren birdless sky surrounded me as i stood on a cliff. i was gazing around and seeing others totems ( a 1st for me) my frined deb was there and her sabertooth growled at me so i continued to look around wondering why everyone else was having luck and not me when suddenly a dragon swooped down and grabbed my shoulders and took off. i felt like i was safe and surrounded by love and magyk. no harm could come to me it was amazing! i had never worked with or even considered dragons before, and never really worked with them but i KNOW he's always with me. i found out years later that under the cherokee calander i am born under the sign of the dragon so i had my aha moment. it also explains my love of shiny things and my affinity for mermaids.

i would suggest you explore any animals you have an utter fascination with or dream about in depth, even those that frighten you can hold a key to understanding yourself and your hidden potential!
find a quite spot and relax close your eyes and ask your totem to appear be patient they may be shy at first. also make sure you ask the animal if he is your totem/guide as many creatures may simply be there out of curiosity. a true spirit helper will make itself known. and do NOT have preconceived ideas a bettle can be just as powerful an ally as a lion. so don't shun your helper out of false pride or ego. and there are no feminine or masculine totems, my friend deb is a powerful woman and has a sabertooth cat, i know men who have butterflies. both are valid for them and are equally useful. also if you've never meditated before it may take some time to become open enough so keep trying, if you fall asleep and dream the animal that shows up in the dreamscape may be a guide as well. if you have specefic questions or need any advice feel free to hit me up either in comment or on my fb.
totems can alter and enhance your life in ways you may never know and as knowledge is power being open to possibility can create whole new worlds, mayhaps you should try exploring them!
